It is important to do this because you don’t want your nose to look two-dimensional. Use the source image as a reference if needed. Shading softly, we are now going to fill the sides of the nose; remember that one of them is not fully visible, so avoid shading out of the area we marked with our guidelines. To help you learn faster, please draw only one each time you follow the tutorial, not all three at the same time. Step 5: at the bottom of those guide grid, in the middle (if you used step 14), add a circle for the ball of the nose. Step 14: mirroring the line added in step 13, draw a second curved line for the bridge of the nose.

Roman nose: A Roman nose is characterized by a prominent bridge that curves downward at the tip. To draw this type of nose, start by drawing a vertical line down the center of the nose, then add a curved line for the bridge. Use shading to create a gradual curve at the tip of the nose. Now erase what’s left of our guidelines and blend the graphite as shown in the diagram. To add a more realistic touch, you can use your blending tool to add small portions of skin below and to the left of the nose. Although it’s not a side view, keep in mind from which side the light is hitting your nose and add the highlights and shades accordingly. The shades will help give the shape of the nose. Step 1 (optional): (these likes will be useful if you want to draw this nose within the face tutorial) draw a straight vertical line. Then, draw a smaller circle on the right side to represent the nostril. Make sure to darken the left nostril and make the right nostril the most light.

Understanding the basic steps of how-to-draw-a-nose is possibly the best choice you could make when it comes to drawing facial features! It is one of the most challenging subjects, and not many get it right the first time! To start, sketch the basic shape of the nose – just a few lines for nose tip, nose bridge, and the right and left nostril. In this case, the darkest area is the base of the nose. We are going to shade this area with our 4B pencil, with soft and small circular movements, without applying too much pressure but with layers to add depth. With our 4B pencil, we’re now going to add the nostrils to our drawing. Remember that the nostril shape changes according to the type of nose we’re drawing and that some people have bigger nostrils than others.

Take a moment to study the source image provided. Drawing facial features and drawing noses is not too difficult once you master the art of proportion, lighting, and shadows! Any drawing or painting relies on these fundamentals to create a true, third-dimensional, and realistic sketch. The best way to achieve this is to envision the way light reacts to the surface of the skin. Other facial features are dynamic. Eyes widen with surprise and narrow with suspicion. Mouths open to shout or form smiles, frowns or grins. Noses are relatively static, but they’re still important for conveying information about who a character is or what they’re doing.

In preparation for shading, draw a curvy line along the other side of the bridge that mirrors the bridge shape you’ve already defined from step 4.

Drawing Pencils ( Faber Castell is my go-to brand because the quality is always good, and they are easier on the bank balance!) Now, here’s where learning how to draw a nose can get a little more challenging. Firstly, you’ll need to make sure you leave a space between the nostril and the flare of the nostril like in the illustration above.

Step 8: at the bottom, trace the middle guide and draw a curved line right in between the space where the small circles meet the bigger one. Every nose is different, and using the same mold for every nose is not right. An easy way to add variety to the nose is to change the basic shapes. Now we’re going to add the three circles that represent the wings of the nose and the tip. As in the previous step, you can draw the non-visible parts of the circles with dashed lines. Q: How do you draw a cute nose easy? A: To draw a cute nose, you can start by drawing a small and rounded shape for the tip of the nose. Then, draw a curved line to connect the tip to the rest of the nose, and add shading to create dimension. You can also experiment with different shapes and sizes until you find a nose that fits the style you’re going for. I didn’t draw a nostril for the second nose because the nostril isn’t visible from this particular angle for this particular nose.
